Home for Disabled Soldiers

The palace (1930-1932) was designed by Cesare Bazzani. The façade is surmounted by a pediment decorated by Roberto de Cupis; the whole façade is covered by slabs of polished Rapolano travertine, except for the areas surrounding the large arched windows on the first floor. The two side niches in the entrance hall feature the busts of Cesare Battisti and Fulceri Paulucci di Calboli, by sculptor Giuseppe Casalini (1934). The Hall of Honour houses the ‘Dante Foschi’ Historical Museum displaying relics from the First World War, the Ethiopian War and the years 1940-1945.
