Piazzale della Vittoria

Piazzale della Vittoria

Piazzale della Vittoria is one of the symbols of the city and a key element of the urban center built during the Fascist period.
Its white magnificence invites us to discover it by moving our gaze along the polished Tuscan column, up to the three bronze statues of Victory, and between the two altars, where an Homeric hero stands out. It's a soldier caught in the heat of battle and in the catharsis of death or in the return of domestic tranquillity, while the goddess sheathes her sword and the child clings to his mother.
An artwork that clearly represents the spirit of sacrifice and the expression of a cycle of life and death, enlivened by the sound of water falling from the two altars, a sacred symbol of victory itself.
